School is off and running now and you will find important information below. Please make sure you read to the end!

1. Grandparents’ Day was a huge success. Thank you to all of you for sending relatives and special friends to spend the morning with us. We appreciated everyone's patience with the lines for refreshments, pictures and the Book Fair. It's nice to have so many students and families to celebrate this special day. 
2. A reminder that Fall Break is just around the corner. We have one more week of classes and then we will be out of school during the week of Oct. 9-13. There will be no YMCA childcare at Holy Redeemer during that week. Our first quarter will end on Oct. 4 and report cards will be coming home on Oct. 17. Teachers will be reaching out about Parent-Teacher conferences in the coming days so please be on the lookout and plan accordingly. Meeting with your child's teacher is one key to success for your student! 
   
3. Our school is participating in a creative fundraiser with Art to Remember that allows you to purchase keepsake products customized with your child's art. There are over 60 products and many are less than $15. These make great gifts and a percentage of every purchase goes right back to our school. 4. Please remember to bring in your drinks for the Holy Redeemer Fall Festival booth.  The flavors that are requested are broken out by Grade and listed below: Pre-School & Pre-K = RC Cola,  K & 5th Grade = 7up, 1st & 4th = Sunkist, 2nd & 3rd Grade = Ski (no Diet), 6th, 7th & 8th Grade = Bottled Water, 16oz (Any Brand)  NOTE:  Please, No Substitutions

5. 6. Our Annual Pet Blessing with Deacon Tom will take place on Saturday, October 7 at 1:00 pm. Bring your pets from the smallest to the largest! Please meet by the St. Francis statue in front of the school.
   
7. The NEW PTO WEBSITE is up and running!  Visit https://holyredeemerpto.membershiptoolkit.com/ to see everything your PTO has to offer this year.  On our NEW site, you can see upcoming calendar events, make purchases/donations, sign up to volunteer and access a school directory of parents and students.
8. Text Messaging Service for Parents/Guardians: If you would like to receive these texts you will have to opt in to text messages from the school. These will be used for quick reminders about special days or upcoming events. Text “Y” or “yes” to 67587 to opt in!
9. 10. We have received recent guidance that we should have a virtual day on April 8, 2024 and not bring students to school the day of the solar eclipse due to the expected high volume of visitors coming to the Evansville area for the eclipse. Therefore, please plan to keep your students home on Monday, April 8, 2024. We will give more guidance about the virtual day as the date approaches.
11. The snack cart is going strong! Students may purchase tickets in $5 increments. Each ticket is worth $1.00 and each item on the cart costs $0.50. Students will have time to purchase snacks before school starts each morning until 7:20.
12. Make sure to activate and check your lunch account balance on LINQ. You can send money to the school office at any time. Please keep your account up to date!
