Rose Wichman
I attended USI and have my BS in elementary education and special education. However, as a graduate of Holy Redeemer and Mater Dei, Catholic Education has a special place in my heart and I am grateful God has given me the opportunity to share my Catholic faith through my teaching vocation.
In fourth grade, I enjoy being able to teach multiple subjects, including language arts, math, science, social studies, religion, and health. Switching between so many subjects definitely keeps me on my toes and lets me try many different teaching methods and strategies, which is great. I also have a particular fondness for teaching Indiana history and language arts. Through these subjects, we complete many fantastic activities, including landmark brochures, fort projects, biography presentations, and novel projects to wrap up our reading of The Tale of Despereaux, Shiloh, and Holes.
I also feel blessed due to my marriage vocation. My husband David and I were married in 2012 and have 3 beautiful children. I love spending time with my family, reading, crocheting, and shopping at Target. I also enjoy trying new restaurants and staying at home to let my boys make brunch for me. My patron saint is St. Therese of Lisieux and my favorite prayer is the Memorare.
