Good afternoon, Rockets!
We are excited to host Grandparents' Day tomorrow and wanted to send a few logistics to help everyone out. Please share this information with grandparents who are visiting.
1) There will be a LARGE funeral at 10 am in our church. Please encourage grandparents NOT arrive BEFORE 11 am. Grandparents' Day does not begin for most students until 11:30.
2) Grandparents should enter door 2 if parking in the front parking lot and door 7 if parking in the back parking lot. They will be directed to the office where we will call for their grandchildren to meet them.
3) Upon meeting up with grandchildren, students and guests should follow the schedule they will be given to the best of their ability to ensure ample room for everyone to eat and tour the school.
4) Everyone will be encouraged to head to church at 1:15 and may sit where they are most comfortable as a family.
5) Upon completion of Mass at 2:15, grandparents may leave or go to their cars and wait for dismissal. Students will head back to classrooms to gather their things before being dismissed.
Parking
1) Grandparents who will be taking students home at the end of the day should park around behind the school in three lines, just like our normal pick up procedures. There will be attendants to help the process.
2) Grandparents who are not taking students home at the end of the day should park in the front parking lot in the available parking spaces.
3) Parents who are picking up students at 2:30 are encouraged not to arrive BEFORE 2:20 and should use the two lines that will be left open closest to the playground on the back side of the lot. This applies to ALL students in grades K-8 for tomorrow only. All PS/PK kids (without older siblings) please follow Mrs. Daunhauer’s email.
4) EVSC does NOT have school tomorrow, so we will not be fighting Thompkins traffic or any buses upon our dismissal.
5) Please be patient with us.
If you have not already completed the Grandparents’ Day survey that was texted earlier, please go to this form to complete it:https://forms.gle/ebg8k4LKrLvWS8Bt7 Thank you!
We look forward to hosting this event and hope that all of our guests enjoy it!
Have a great evening!
